QUILT BASTING ADHESIVE SPRAY

DIRECTIONS:

Spray the surface of your lining, moving your hand slowly from side to side to lightly spray the surface of the fabric.

Then pick the lining up from the corners and carefully lay it on top of the batting, smoothing the fabric from the inside toward the edges.

Flip the fabric over so that the batting is facing up again, to repeat these same steps for the quilt top.

Again, spray the wrong side of the fabric lightly with the spray adhesive; them smooth it over the quilt batting. You will have a secure quilt sandwich with absolutely no pins or basting.

Best of all, Sullivan's Quilt Basting Spray Adhesive holds the fabric layers together snugly, with no shifting or tunneling.

It may be used for quilting either by hand or by machine.

Sullivan's Quilt Basting Spray works equally well for large quilts.

You may cut strips of newsprint to place just underneath the edges of the quilt to protect the surface of your floor or table.

Rather than spraying the entire top or lining, first layer the fabric on top of the quilt batting.

Then fold back half of the quilt top to spray sections at a time, then repeat for the other half.

The bond is not a permanent one; so if you want to reposition your quilt, simply pull the top away from the batting. There is no need to spray another coat; just smooth the fabric down again and steam lightly with an iron. The steam will reactivate the adhesive bond again.

The adhesive is so light that you will not be able to tell it is there.

TEST ON FABRIC BEFORE APPLYING TO GARMENT.
